Hi ,My name is Shirley Wooten Kitelinger .I live in the hills of North Alabama and have raised maltepoos/maltipoos for a long time now .
Back when I first started on the net ,our site was on AOL .
Very little was on the net at the time about Maltipoo/maltepoo .I could read about the cockapoo or pekapoo ,but nothing much about the Maltipoo /Maltepoo .
I changed a few years later to Ivillage to host my sites and was there for alot of years .I found that when I changed and started investagating a little in search engines that I was ranked second only to maltepoo.com

I am the Blond with the white dog .His name is Sam the Man Balam and he is 8 yrs old and goes everywhere I go .The love of my life is my Sam and he is what made me fall in love with the Maltipoo/maltepoo Buying a puppy ,any puppy has to be a Family decision .Even if you are getting the puppy for a daughter or son or spouse ,the dog is a family responsibility because it quicky becomes a member of the whole family . The dog has to be fed and have fresh water ,taken for walks ,played with ,taught the rules , cuddled and most of all loved . If one spouse does not approve of purchasing a pet ,it is best for you and your family and the animal that it is not done . A family is what a dog needs and that is what should be agreed upon first . Have a family discussion and make that decision together . So ,take your time .Make your choice and make sure all the family agrees .After all ,anyone tha brings a life into the home has a responsibility to make sure that life is protected ,cared for and loved . A gift of life is a gift for all !

I found very little information on the maltipoo/maltepoo .That it was spelled about 600 different ways ,that there were very few breeders and at that time I found maybe one more and that person was not ranked in alot of the search engines .
I did find alot about Maltese and Poodles and so I bred mine and watched them grow and studied them and found ..well ...the best little fur baby in the world ,Loyal ...friendly ..most healthy little babies ,so I continued on Ivillage and grew and grew .Soon I had puppies in over 40 states and people were thrilled at the joy the Maltipoo/maltepoo brought them .

When I first started breeding ,we used a local vet .She was okay but we really had no access,unless she was open and there ,we had to travel to an emergency clinic and get interns ...not my thing ...
So I started looking for a vet and found one that had been in business for over 30 yrs and had 3 others working in his clinic .The problem ...well I truly believe Dr. Williams thought all breeders were a pack of wolves and I was just another to add to his list .I had to PROVE myself and my puppies .
Through the years we had ups,downs and ins and outs but one day Dr. Williams was checking one of my puppies and all of a sudden he said "You know ,you are doing the RIGHT thing "
Well ...short of this is ...I was accepted as a person ,a breeder that counted and he doesn't count but a couple ,and since then my Puppies have been the STARS of the clinic .All 4 vets agree ...Once Dr Phillips came out after checking my babies and said in a very grave voice " Well...we may as well just shoot em all now Mrs Kitelinger ,can't find a thing wrong with any of them !" LOL ! Both he and I laughed ,for Dr Phillips to say my puppies are perfect is a compliment indeed ,he is the surgeon there and is very qualified to determine if they and I pass muster ...we do .
not many breeders have 1 vet that gives them reference ,I am lucky ...I have 4 .

After a long time ...years at ivillage ,they decided not to host any sites anymore ,so we lost our hosting as did about 100,000 other people .So ,we moved our sites to tripod as most all did ,you can still find all our old sites at tripod by going to http://maltipoos-ivil.tripod.com and http://maltipooinfo-ivil.tripod.com .During this time our sites were down for a few months and we knew we had maltepoo.net and maltipoo.net and a slew of other nets,coms and orgs ...so we started building new and better sites .We are still working on all of them and hope by the end of the year we have all our sites up ,info galore and soon ...maybe next year ,I plan to write and have a book on crossbreeding that will include Maltipoos /Maltepoos ..where to find them ,things people need to look for in crossbreeds ...so wish me luck in this endevor and if anyone has something of importance to add ,please feel free to contact me kite@nehp.net ,please put maltipoo/maltepoo information in subject line . I am at this time working on a family history ,so any other book will be long in coming .Also Our CLub Namcr ,will try and put together a photo album and history of the Maltepoo /maltipoo in 2006 .Wish us luck there too .

We do our best at Poos-4-U to help to make all our babies and moms and dads the most healthy they can be .
We breed our Moms only once a year
We visit the vet often ,Sometimes our puppies have seen the vet 6 times before the new moms and dads get them .Most of the time at least 4 times .
We worm ,the vets worm ,we use revolution ,we feed Eukanuba Puppy small breed ,we let the moms wean their babies and we do not let them go until we are satisified that they are as healthy as we can make them .We care ,we care about our babies ,our moms and dads ,our customers and we care about our vets reputation as well as our own .Poos-4-u has maltipoo/maltepoo babies and a few other crossbreeds we try every now and then with Actors ,Lawyers ,Doctors ,Plumbers ,Tbn Minister and just the average families just like me ...We care and so do they .So ...Thank you to all my Customers ,My Vets ,My Friends for becoming a part of our family here at Poos-4-U and making our babies Number 1 ....May God Bless you all !
